Andy Edge is the Commercial Director for ODEON – part of ODEON & UCI Europe’s largest cinema group, and 6thlargest globally – overseeing the marketing operations of 124 ODEON sites across the UK and Ireland.
With more than two decades of experience in marketing across some of the biggest FMCG and Leisure brands. He started his working career at Kraft Foods (Philadelphia) then moved to St Ivel as a Senior Brand Manager (Gold). His next role took him to Holsten (a joint venture with Scottish & Newcastle) to work on the iconic Holsten Pils brand as part of his portfolio. Having been promoted to the position of Marketing Director, after 7 years in of working in brewing, Andy moved for the first time out of FMCG and into Private Equity leisure with The Tussauds Group (later Merlin Entertainments Group). He was part of the management team that led the business through 2 PE transactions.
Following this, Andy joined Park Resorts, the UK's second largest Holiday Park Operator in 2007 and was part of another Private Equity transaction and subsequent new management team. Andy spent five years in this role before joining the home of entertainment, ODEON Cinemas, in April 2012. Now responsible for creating and developing bespoke commercial platforms and marketing strategies to ensure the business delivers its overall growth targets and that the brand is recognised as best in class in delivering exceptional customer experience. Andy sits on the Board of DCM and Cinema First and holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Business Studies.
